Goetheanum (Rudolf Steiner, 1928)

The followers of Anthroposophy celebrated the 150th birthday of the founder of their movement, Rudolf Steiner, last week. I live only 10 km away from the world center of Anthroposophy, the Goetheanum, pictured above (with its restaurant in the second picture) and I'm still surprised about the fact that a movement with a rather mazy philosophy that is deeply rooted in the boom of occultism around 1900 could survive and still be quite strong. At least it is here. The monumental Goetheanum is still impressive today, but how alien must it have been in 1928? Note the tiny persons on the pic that give you an idea of its size.
